Graduates are called up one by one and embrace faculty members after receiving their diplomas.
On Sunday, June 30, NHP’s Class of 2024 celebrated their last milestone as high school students. The ceremony, which took place at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex of Hofstra University, offered an opportunity for students and faculty alike to reminisce about their journey at NHP. The venue, which seats 5,023 people, was nearly filled to capacity with roaring friends and family who came together to honor this year’s graduates.
Students arrived about an hour before the ceremony started and assisted each other in fixing their caps and gowns. Faculty members from every department volunteered their time to assist this memorable event as well as to say goodbye to their students. In true gladiator style, students took the liberty to decorate their caps with items of personal and collective significance. Despite the rainy weather, graduates all had smiles on their faces as they took this next step in their lives.
Seniors Kanav Dani, Arav Singh, Jensen Varghese and Vansh Patel honored their longstanding friendship by decorating their graduation caps with a group theme.
Bittersweetly, senior staffers Abhiveer Singh, Linda Cheung, Michayla Rinaldi and Fiona O’Reilly graduate from The Chariot staff, paving the way for a new generation of writers.
Hi my name is Marco, I am currently a senior. I am involved in many activities here at NHP such as MUN and class board. Outside of school I especially love going to the gym and hanging out with my friends. My favorite part about my time here at NHP is not the classes but rather the connections and fun memories that you make with students and faculty members alike.
