On April 10, the Seeker’s Club hosted an Easter event, featuring a potluck, singing and a variety of activities. The celebration was primarily organized by the club’s dedicated members, with support from advisers Mrs. Caliendo and Mr. Dolan.
“It’s my first time helping out with this celebration, and I’m really excited. I am in the praise and worship team and we practice songs that we will be singing, which is really important in our religion. Many of the officers in the club prepared food and activities,” freshman Susie Mizuguchi said.
The Seeker’s club prepared many activities and festivities for Easter. The contributions of many members were incorporated into the event, as they practiced and spent a ton of effort in order to make this goal memorable. Designed with banners and other decorations, the cafeteria was redesigned to fit the theme of Easter and create a festive atmosphere.
“It took many practices and effort from all the members to make the event memorable. This event is one of the biggest events for Seekers with faith towards Christ and the Lord,” freshman Abigail Varghese said.
“Absolutely amazing event, blows my mind seeing students gather in Christ’s name and making memories,” Worship Leader Celine Mei said.
This year’s Easter celebration involved several games and activities similar to last year. It included practicing songs central to the holiday, which added a special touch to the celebration. Moreover, the festival included prayers, worship and a potluck. There were also new aspects to the event this year. For instance, there were new, talented musicians and singers who performed at the celebration. Additionally, new members were able to take part in the event and take on the unique experience. With familiar favorites from last year combined with fresh, exciting additions, this year’s event was a lively and memorable celebration.
“I’m grateful for this event. Personally, I’m very strong and serious about my own Christian faith. It’s great to be able to express that. My favorite time of the year is the interfaith event when all these religions come together, and we can see how much in common we all have,” Seekers Club adviser Mr. Dolan said.
